Nashville is coming to light up the Vineyard on Sept. 20 and 21. Matt Casey is bringing both hit songwriters and emerging stars to play a plethora of venues over the Tivoli weekend.

Even if country music fans don’t recognize the names of the biggest stars coming to next weekend’s sixth annual New England to Nashville Martha’s Vineyard Songwriters’ Festival, there’s no reason to fret. They’ll surely recognize their music.

Ever dream of being a songwriter, but haven’t got a clue where to start? Or maybe you would just like to wade in a wash of music from iconic and rising songwriters from country and other genres.

Six years ago Matt Casey brought one songwriter to perform and do a workshop on the Vineyard. This weekend he is bringing more than 15 musicians and songwriters to the Island as part of his New England to Nashville, Martha’s Vineyard Songwriting Festival.

Martha’s Vineyard will once again play host to some of Nashville’s finest songwriters and artists on Sept. 15 to 17. This will be the fifth year for the annual edition of the New England to Nashville Martha’s Vineyard Songwriting Festival.

Picturesque Martha’s Vineyard played host to the Martha’s Vineyard Songwriting Festival this past weekend, for the festival’s fifth year of shows, workshops, and gatherings. The festival began in Boston, with shows from both the festival’s Rising Stars and Pros, and then moved to the island Friday morning.

The Island played host to some of Nashville’s finest singers and songwriters last weekend for the sixth annual Martha’s Vineyard Songwriting Festival. The three-day event kicked off Friday night with an introductory Q and A, featuring members of the Nashville Hit Makers.

Country music and Nashville’s songwriting scene will take over New England this week for the annual Martha’s Vineyard Songwriting Festival, taking place the 14th-17th.

When Matt Casey set out to produce the first Martha’s Vineyard Songwriting Festival (MVSF), he never imagined that it would rise to the level of success it has achieved. Now in its sixth year, the festival features established talents from Nashville’s songwriting elite alongside rising stars in the world of country music.

What do you get when a couple dozen musically-inclined, self-proclaimed rednecks take over one of America’s most prestigious destinations? That would be the Martha’s Vineyard Songwriting Festival.

Concert to showcase Nashville’s finest songwriters and artists happening this Saturday, Sept. 19, at 8 pm. Get ready to join them in a long-weekend night show titled The show, titled “Behind the Curtain with Nashville Hit-Makers and Rising Stars,” This is the third annual Martha’s Vineyard Songwriters Festival (MVSF) presented by New England to Nashville (NETN), a group founded in 2012 to support artists based in or connected to New England whose artistic efforts are focused on the Nashville music scene.

Wannabe country singers are heading to Loretta’s Last Call this week. The Lansdowne Street bar is hosting the first two nights of the annual Martha’s Vineyard Songwriters Festival. Organizers say this year’s gathering features a few songwriters with serious chops, notably Jim McCormick, Marty Dodson, and Clay Mills, whose resumes include hits for such acts as Lady Antebellum, Jason Aldean, and Darius Rucker.

The Martha’s Vineyard Songwriting Festival reached its peak on Saturday night with a performance by the Nashville Hitmakers Songwriters at Flatbread Company in Edgartown.

Martha’s Vineyard hosts some of Nashville’s finest songwriters and artists from Sept. 11 to 14, when New England to Nashville (NETN) presents the fourth annual Martha’s Vineyard Songwriting Festival.

The Nashville sound will be heard on the Vineyard as the 2013 Martha’s Vineyard Songwriters Festival takes place from Sept. 13 to 15. Artists and songwriters from the Music City will offer a workshop for aspiring songwriters with instruction by Steve Seskin and Steve Bloch.
